Lucid Motors was founded in 2007 to become a leader in sustainable mobility solutions. The company designs, develops, and manufactures electric vehicles. And the first Lucid electric car, the Lucid Air, is a luxury sedan that offers long range, fast charging, and advanced driver assistance features. The Lucid Air has four different editions of the same model. Any Lucid Air edition can challenge the prevailing EVs, whatever brand they carry the tag of. Here, you can learn every detail of all four models. That includes the lucid air car price, specs, power, performance, availability, and more. But why LUCID fans should feel highly excited about its attitude that it is not to befriend the competitors. Rather, Lucid Air will surpass the established rivals by dint everything EVs stands for. The Air is packed with cutting-edge technology, including a massive battery and compact motors that deliver unbeatable range and performance. The Grand Touring is a performance model meant for run and range that can speed up to 60 mph in an incredibly low time - just 2.6 seconds and can run 516 miles per charge—its range as per EPA. Even more impressive, the latest Sapphire model will run even faster, and according to Lucid claim, it can catch 60 mph of speed under 2 seconds. The Air's eye-capturing exterior and roomy cabin add to the lure, but its price tag made us fancy plusher materials inside. The truth is, I cannot help delving deep into the four Lucid Air models to know and let you know more about them. Lucid Air Grand Touring – Should Top Your Priority List Image Credit: Lucid The Lucid Air Grand Touring is Lucid Motors' second most expensive vehicle, starting at $154,000. However, with a $7,500 tax incentive, this lucid electric car price decreases an equal amount. The Lucid Air Grand Touring is a luxurious and customizable electric vehicle with many features worth the price tag. The Lucid Air Grand Touring has an EPA range of 516 miles, making it the perfect solution for range anxiety – the fundamental anxiety common with EV owners. All Grand Touring customers will get Dream Drive Pro, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control standard and Electrify America’s 3-year free charging facility. In addition, customers can fully customize their vehicles on the Lucid Motors site. From wheels to colors, customers can choose exactly what they want for no price increase at the moment. The Lucid Air Grand Touring has won many awards and received great customer reviews. It is a luxurious and high-quality vehicle. If you go to market for an electric vehicle and can afford the price tag, the Lucid Air Grand Touring should be at the top of your list. Lucid Air Touring: The Long-Range Electric Sedan Image Credit: Lucid Motors Lucid Motors has unveiled the latest version of its all-electric sedan, the Lucid Air Touring. With a range of 416 miles on a single charge, the Lucid Air Touring is one of the longest-range electric vehicles on the market. The Lucid Air Touring will be available in Infinite Black and Stellar White, with a standard of 19" Aero Range wheels. Customers can also opt for 20" Aero Lite wheels, which will be available in the second quarter of 2022. For an additional $1,500, customers can choose 21" Aero Blade wheels. The Lucid Air Touring comes standard with a number of features that make it a luxurious and comfortable ride, including heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel culminating to stunning and irresistible lucid electric car interior. The car also comes with Active Noise Cancellation and an industry-leading infotainment system. Unfortunately, Dream Drive Pro and the Surreal Surround System are not included in the Lucid Air Touring model. However, customers can pay $9,000 to add Dream Drive Pro, which includes features such as Adaptive Cruise Control and other driver assistant features. The Dream Drive Pro system will also receive Over Air Updates so that it continues to improve over time. Additionally, customers can add the Surreal Sound System for an immersive audio experience. This Lucid Air version will cost you $107,000, and a meager amount of $5000 will add to that if you want the glass canopy. But the ultimate price will deduct a huge chunk of $7500 excluded as tax incentive. Lucid Air Pure: Cheaper Option with the Same Great Quality Image Credit: Lucid Motors Lucid car stock offers four different variations of the Lucid Air model, each differing in several features with others. The cheapest version is the Lucid Air Pure, which starts at $87,400. Although it is the cheapest model, it is still a high-quality EV. The Lucid Air Pure has an EPA range of 406 miles per charge, slightly less than the Grand Touring but longer than the prime rivals. It has LED headlights, power-folding mirrors, and 20-inch wheels. However, several features are not included in the base model and must be added for an additional cost. These include the Dream Drive Pro (which adds more safety features), the Surreal Sound System, and color upgrades. The Lucid Air Pure is a great value even with these additional costs. EV incentives can save customers up to $7,500, bringing the total price down to $69,900. For a high-quality EV, this is a very reasonable price. Lucid Air Sapphire: The Most Powerful Electric Sedan Image Credit: Lucid Motors Lucid Motors has brought an even superior-performance model of its Air luxury sedan, the robust Lucid Air Sapphire. The new Lucid electric car, three-motor version will make more than 1200 horsepower, compared with 1111 hp for the Air Performance. The Sapphire price will start from around $249,000. Orders were due for August, and production started in from second quarter of 2023. What's new for the Lucid Air Sapphire? At 1200 horsepower plus, the Air Sapphire stays ahead of another giant - the 1111-hp Air Performance. The two powertrains differ because the Lucid Air Sapphire features a new dual motor at the rear end above the back seat – EV motor matters. Lucid doubled up on its compact motor. Here the dual-motor setup bolts up into the rear subframe already there without modifying the car. Two motors combined for the back wheels result in torque vectoring. And that is what helps make this Air version seem smaller, as per Lucid's claims The result is a car that can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in less than 2 seconds and cover a quarter-mile in less than 10 seconds. Top speed is also increased, now topping out at 200 mph. And since both motors are water-cooled, there's no need for liquid cooling of the battery pack, which sits behind the rear seats. As a result, the range is increased to 517 miles on a single charge. In addition to the new powertrain, the Air Sapphire also gets an updated interior with new materials and finishes. The most spectacular change is the addition of an 11th airbag—a curtain bag that runs along the length of the cabin to provide side impact protection for all four occupants. Other new features include standard all-wheel steering and adaptive LED headlights that swivel in concert with steering inputs to help light up corners at night. The Lucid Air Pure is the entry-level model and priced at $87,400 matching the basic lucid air electric car price. It offers an extended range of 406 miles and will be launched in Q4 2022. The next step is Air Touring, which is priced at $107,000. It has a range of 406 miles and was launched in Q1 2021. The Air Grand Touring is currently being delivered to customers and starts at $154,000. It has a range of 516 miles. Finally, the top-of-the-line model is the Air Sapphire Edition, which starts at $249,000. It has a range of 503 miles. Clearly, the Lucid Air is not a cheap car by any stretch of the imagination. But it does offer buyers an incredible amount of value for their money. It comes packed with features and amenities and delivers breathtaking performance numbers that rival (and in some cases exceed) those of its main competitor, the Tesla Model S. Q: Is Lucid technology better than Tesla? If you go to market for an electric vehicle (EV), you've probably looked at lucid vs. Tesla rivalry among the EV enthusiasts. These are the two major players in the EV market, and they both have a lot to offer. So, which is the best buy? We think Lucid Motors has the edge over Tesla for a few reasons. One of the key deciding factors for EVs is range. How far can you go on a single charge? Here's how the Lucid Air and Tesla Model S stack up: -Lucid Air: 406 miles -Tesla Model S: 402 miles As you can see, the basic Lucid Air has a slightly better range than the Tesla Model S. However, that's not the only factor to consider when making your decision. Price is also an important consideration. The Lucid Air starts at $87,400, while the Tesla Model S starts at $85,000. Based on these factors, we think Lucid Motors is the better buy over Tesla. However, it's finally up to you to solve the lucid electric car vs tesla confusion and to decide which EV suits you and your needs. Q: Who owns Lucid electric vehicles? In September 2007, Lucid Motors was founded as Atieva and rebranded as Lucid Motors in 2016. The company is headquartered in Newark, California, and is privately held. In September 2018, the company announced that it had raised $1 billion in funding from investors, including Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. Lucid Motors released its first production vehicle, the Lucid Air, in 2021. The Lucid Air is a luxury electric sedan with a range of 406-516 miles on a single charge. The basic Lucid Air model will start at $87,900. Lucid went through massive criticism for co-ownership with Saudi Arabia, as the Saudi government has a notorious record of human rights violations. Actually, the company has little to do with a partner having majority shareholding, even when it is supposedly doing something wrong. However, people are waiting for more information in this regard because who makes the lucid electric car and who owns lucid motors are different questions. Q: Is Lucid a Chinese company? Lucid Motors is an electric vehicle company based in Newark, California. The company started in 2007 by Bernard Tse and Sam Weng to develop efficient electric powertrains. In 2016, Lucid received investment from Chinese conglomerate Tencent Holdings, which led to speculation that the company was now Chinese-owned. However, Lucid has denied these claims, stating that Tencent only owns a small minority stake in the company. So while Lucid may have received some investment from a Chinese conglomerate, it is not accurate to say that the company is Chinese-owned. Lucid remains headquartered in the United States, with all of its production also taking place in America. Q: Is Lucid worth buying? There are several things to consider before purchasing Lucid. The first is whether or not you need it. If you have trouble sleeping, then Lucid may not be your best investment. The small size is the issue here as it exposes it to supply chain headwinds more heavily than other larger rival EVs. But the other alternatives out there may better suit your needs. That includes more extended range, dual-motor, and speed. Secondly, consider the price. Lucid is not cheap, so you'll need to decide if it's worth the cost. Lastly, think about whether or not you're comfortable with using it. If you're not comfortable with the idea of using an app to help you sleep, then Lucid probably isn't right for you. All things considered, Lucid is a solid investment if you don't mind spending a bit of money on it. It's simple to use and offers many features that can help you get a good time on the move. Q: Is Lucid a threat to Tesla? There's no denying Tesla's impact on the auto industry. The company has been a trailblazer in electric vehicles, and its success has spurred other automakers to invest in the technology. But is Tesla's dominance being challenged? Lucid Motor is a startup making waves in the EV space. The company has secured over $1 billion in funding and launched its first Lucid Air electric car. The Air is an impressive car. It has a range of 406-516 miles on a single charge and can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. That's faster than Tesla's flagship Model S P100D. So, is Lucid a threat to Tesla? It remains to be seen. But Tesla's dominance in the industry has helped spur competition. And that's a good thing for consumers. So, Tesla stock or lucid car stock which one to buy? As long as you don't pay too much, Tesla is viable now. Right now, Tesla stock is trading at around $300 per share. Q: Does Lucid have a future? Lucid Motors is the electric vehicle manufacturer that was founded in 2007. The company went through many changes since its inception and has already released its first production car, the Lucid Air. But does Lucid have a future? The electric vehicle market is proliferating, and Lucid is well-positioned to take advantage of this trend. The company has a strong engineering team and a proven track record of developing innovative technology. In addition, Lucid has secured over $1 billion in funding from investors such as Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. There are challenges ahead for Lucid, but the company has the potential to be a major player in the electric vehicle market. With its strong team and financial backing, Lucid is poised for success in the years to come. Q: How long do Lucid batteries last? Lucid batteries are designed to last for a long time. As is the case with every EV Company, they claim that EV batteries will last for up to 8-10 years or 100000 miles with proper care and maintenance. However, many factors can affect the lifespan of a battery, such as how often it is used, how it is stored, and the conditions it is exposed to. If you want your Lucid battery to last as long as possible, you can do a few things to extend its life. First, avoid exposing your battery to extreme temperatures. This can cause the battery to degrade faster. Second, try not to let your battery discharge completely before recharging it. This can also shorten the lifespan of the battery. Finally, be sure to store your Lucid battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. Lucid Motors believes they can bring back their batteries to their original vigor by recycling them. That is both huge profits for them, and Lucid electric car owners will not suffer as the batteries supply will not be disturbed. Q: How many Lucid cars have been sold? Lucid's customer demand for the Air is clear; however, its deliveries of merely 360 vehicles in Q1 2022 do not reflect that. This may be due to the company's struggle with its luxury EV production ramp. Despite this, the CEO of Lucid Motors, Peter Rawlinson, noted the output of the company's Arizona production plant that delivered more than 300 vehicles merely in April. This demonstrates their accelerated production ramp and should lead to much healthier results in Q2. Furthermore, total production in the first quarter was nearly 700 vehicles. While this looks promising, the production volume outlook for 2022 has been slashed from 20,000 to 12,000-14,000 vehicles amid the lack of a part. Nevertheless, Lucid's customer demand for the Air remains high, and their deliveries in Q1 should only improve. Q: Where are Lucid cars manufactured? Lucid Motors is an American automotive and technology company specializing in electric vehicles. The company was founded in 2007 by Bernard Tse and Sam Weng and is headquartered in Newark, California. Lucid Motors began delivering cars to customers in late 2020. The first cars were manufactured at Lucid's Casa Grande, Arizona factory. The factory features over one million square feet of production space, allowing Lucid to produce up to 30,000 vehicles per year. In addition to the factory, Lucid has an assembly plant in Freemont, California. The Freemont plant is where Lucid assembles the powertrains for its vehicles. The powertrains are then shipped to the Casa Grande factory for installation into the vehicles. This allows Lucid to keep manufacturing costs down and maintain a high level of quality control. Q: How many cars did Lucid sell in 2021? The company recently posted 4Q with lucid electric cars 2021 earnings reports with investors, alongside an outlook for 2022. The automaker handed over just 125 of its signature Air sedan in 2021 and has already surpassed that number in early 2022. However, the overall output will be slightly lower than the anticipated amount. Compared to the promised 20,000 cars, Lucid is expecting now to produce only 12,000–14,000 EVs for the year. Following the delay in production for 2021 after a successful SPAC merger, Lucid began delivering its first production models – the much anticipated Lucid Air along its assembly line last September. Following the 2021 earnings report, people know that the Lucid Electric car has delivered 300 plus EVs. However, the automaker still has a way to go before it reaches its goal of 20,000 cars delivered in 2021—a number revised downward to 12,000-14,000 earlier this year. Lucid Motors had a tough go of it in 2020 due to production delays caused by the pandemic and its successful SPAC merger. However, the company seems to be back on track regarding output and deliveries. Q: Are Lucid cars fast? Lucid cars are fast, efficient, and stylish. The company's first car, the Lucid Air, is a four-door sedan that can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.6 seconds. The Lucid Air is also the world's most aerodynamic production car, with a drag coefficient of just 0.21. The Lucid Air is not the only fast car in the Lucid lineup. And the Lucid Dream Edition is a special edition of the Lucid Air that has even more horsepower and can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 1.9 seconds. Lucid Motors has a long-term vision for the future, and they want to be the first company to create an autonomous electric vehicle that can handle any situation.
